Thelma + Louise Cross the Border

This story starts long before we made it to the Canadian border. Pop some popcorn, grab a cold beverage and settle in. It’s going to be a bumpy ride (literally…for us maybe less so for you I hope).

2 Years

“I’d say one seventy-two.”

“No, closer to one forty-nine.”

I overheard this conversation in the line as I checked out at a grocery store, in a city I can’t actually remember. But the scene was familiar and so was what those two people were doing.

Bend, OR

I actually do have a few Bend photographs - hooray. We spent a week there and most days were pretty rainy. We took a quick jaunt around downtown Bend but I think our favorite spot was taking a 30 minute drive to Sisters, just outside of Bend.

Lake Tahoe

We’ve hopped our way from Lake Tahoe to Redding, CA to Bend, OR to Castle Rock, WA and now we are running around like crazy people in Seattle getting ready for our border crossing into Canada on FRIDAY!

A Gem in Pacifica

It was great to see the big things in San Francisco - the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf, Ghirardelli Square, Lombard Street, etc. But I found the things local to our RV campground to be just as special.

To Mamma, With Love

I’ve always been impressed by my mom. As a child, I was in awe of her steadfast boundaries, overwhelming work ethic (“When mom is working, we are all working”) and her unconditional love.

A Day in Napa

Napa is about an hour and twenty minutes north of our campground so we decided to make a day trip out of it.

Unlike most people, Napa makes me think less about wine and more about the remake of The Parent Trap movie. And it is entirely possible we were the only ones (of drinking age) that weren’t there to drink wine.

Golden Gate Bridge

We’ve been waiting for the best day to visit the Golden Gate Bridge. Not too windy. Not too foggy. Not too crowded.

We lucked out.
