The whole fam hopped in the car and took the hour and a half drive from Biloxi to New Orleans to explore on Tuesday.
81 degrees in December? I just can't.
I did enjoy the beautiful French Quarter architecture and the unique vibe. We got to hear a raucous jazz group just hanging out on the street and peer into the fun, eclectic shops. I think our favorite part of all was the secret residential alley ways that led to beautiful and serene gardens. The juxtaposition from the heartbeat of the street to the serenity of the residential gardens was very interesting.
Phoebe had a wonderful time sniffing and exploring. She was admired quite a few times and didn't mind wagging her tail to show appreciation. Since it was quite toasty outside we only spent about 45 minutes walking around and then we hopped in the truck to complete the rest of the tour by driving. After a quick jaunt around the downtown area, we headed back to Biloxi.
While the New Orleans area we toured wasn't really my vibe, I can definitely appreciate the history and architecture. It was stunning. I was able to capture some of it below. Since we were only in Biloxi for two and half days, I'm glad we made the quick decision to make the trip to New Orleans before driving to the southwest of Louisiana today.
