Snow in Louisiana
This is not a drill.
I keep the window open next to the bed so that I can look out it during the night and also notice when it becomes morning or else I would sleep until noon. I peered out during the night and saw a flutter of snow. It looked so beautiful, especially at night, but I knew it wouldn't stick because of all the rain during the previous day.
Lo and behold, my mom jostled me awake a few hours later to show me the snow that had accumulated on the ground! I didn't think I was going to see any snow this winter.
I was so excited, come morning, to bundle up and take Phoebe out on a snow adventure. I put on my down coat and strapped her into her winter duds. First she ate the snow. Then she ran through the snow. After that she did a little more walking and a quick pee before deciding that the snow was overrated and too freezing to enjoy.
After wrapping her up in a blanket I ran outside to take a few pictures before it started to melt - which it is doing as I type.
Snow in Louisiana, I'll take it!
