Zucchini Bread to the Rescue
Thanks to some zucchini bread, trail mix, a thrilling podcast, 4 stops and 2 diet cokes - we survived 502 miles on the road.
We haven't signed on in a few days because we had internet troubles in Jamestown, NY. "Light web browsing and email checking" was all that we were allotted. And even that was a stretch. But it was nice to relax some before this crazy long drive. We took a little tour of a local farm stand on Thursday and stretched our legs on a small hike on Friday. My mom's chili kept us going strong and we tested out our convection microwave oven on zucchini bread and corn bread. We still have some tweaking to do but overall - this convection oven thing is pretty awesome. Especially since we can't figure out how to light our real oven. Womp.
The next few days we will be exploring Mystic, CT and then we will be heading south to Virginia. Another long drive that may be chopped in half because - wow - 9 hour days are intense when you can only stop at certain rest stops because your rear end is 40 feet long and could knock out small cars, a gas pump, a drive-thru....
