Hurricane Michael

Hurricane Michael

Hurricanes are eerie. They seem unbelievable to me. How can they be so strong and destructive? I know they aren’t unbelievable to people who personally experience them. They are real. They are devastating.

Seeing the damage done already to Florida because of Hurricane Michael is scary. Panama City was a special place for us last year. We enjoyed a daily beach walk near our campground and found an amazing burrito restaurant that we went to embarrassingly often. And we got to witness one of the most beautiful sunsets we’ve ever seen.

We are thinking about all of the people and communities that have been affected by Hurricane Michael and we hope they are staying safe. We are heading there in early January after being in Florida for over a month. I’m sure our experience will be different this time around. Maybe there will be opportunities for us to help the community with clean-up or donations depending on their needs in the next few months.

Thinking of your Florida. Stay safe and we’ll see you soon.
