St. Augustine, FL
Alternative title - a beautiful sauna.
“The heat is not soul - crushingly hot”, said my mom when we first got here. I would mostly agree with that. It is pretty bearable. The shade is actually quite pleasant but when we open the door of our RV, we are hit with sauna like steam and I want to immediately go back inside where it’s cool and we have a fan (and AC).
But we wanted to explore St. Augustine so we took on the humidity and heat. And we had a lot of sweat to show for it - which is why you will not see any pictures of us below.
We spent about an hour exploring the main area of town. We hid under palm trees to take in the beautiful boats and water. We stared at gorgeous old churches and admired the architecture of Flagler College. We ended our trip walking down a long walkway of shops and restaurants before running back to the AC of our truck. The smell of seafood almost pulled us back but we decided to do a little more of the tour via the comfort of our vehicle.
We are headed to another dog friendly beach this afternoon and in the morning we are off to Kissimmee!
