The Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon

We took an RV trip about 17 years ago to the four corner states (Arizona, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico) and we got to see the Grand Canyon!

Okay, unfortunately I don't remember it (I was 10) so we decided since we were about 2 hours away - we would go again!

If you happen to have a four legged friend, like we do, you can bring them along only if you go to the South Rim.

Deal!

The Grand Canyon is nothing short of absolutely stunning. The drive was beautiful but when you come around the corner and spot the first glimpse of the canyon, it takes your breathe away. You can google the Grand Canyon all day long and scroll through the pictures I took but it's not the same. No photograph will ever do it justice. You have to see it in person.

We would love, someday, to take a river tour. I think it would be wild to see the Grand Canyon from down below looking up.

Phoebe tried making friends with the ferocious squirrels and repel off the side of the canyon to get a better view. She was also very intrigued by the huge ravens that squawked at her.

A few people were fascinated to hear we were from Nashville.

"Nashville, Texas?!"

Um, no. Nashville, Tennessee.

We crawled back into the truck after taking a nice hike along the rim and headed back to our campsite (in the middle of nowhere) attached to a gas station.
