Family Campus Tour - University of Washington
Sight unseen, I applied to this school. How cool would it have been to be in the heart of Seattle?
Well, UW said "No, thanks" and I marched off proudly to the University of Oregon. But I was kind of pleased to see that the campus vibe at UW wasn't much unlike that of the U of O. It still had the coziness of Oregon but on a much larger scale.
This is the final landing spot where my mom finished her degree. And I have to say, California weather aside, she ended up at the best school last.
We only walked a small strip of it but we got to see some of my mom's stomping grounds and bask in the gorgeous spring weather.
Phoebe charmed a few people and turned her nose up (which is a polite way of saying she partly growled and barked) at a few others. We were only on campus for about an hour but she flopped over in her carseat on the way home and slept like she'd climbed Mount Everest.
We missed the bookstore this time around but on our next visit, I hope to do a little more exploring maybe sans dog.
Today we may take a jaunt over to Pike Place Market. Stay tuned.
