Hurricane Ridge

Hurricane Ridge

Hurricane Ridge makes you feel like you are on top of the world. Once you make it to the top, you are surrounded by snow capped mountains. On your way up wild flowers in white, yellow, purple and red line the road and if you're lucky, you may spot a bald eagle. More likely though, you will see some beautiful deer that are not all skittish. We kept the windows down to take in the cool breeze and every so often a warm gust of sweet pine would make it in and it was glorious.

Hurricane Ridge was one of my grandmother's favorite places and I can certainly understand why. I'm just going to let the pictures speak for themselves. Being up there reminded us of my grandmother and my Aunt Cardie - it was a nice, peaceful day.
