Salt Lake, UT
This post was originally titled Salt Lake City, UT but then it occurred to me that it was really just the lake and none of the city. We landed in Salt Lake City on what seemed to me like the hottest two days EVER! If there is ever a need to torture me, just stick me in a room with a temp above 80 degrees with no breeze and I will crack under the temperature alone. You wouldn’t even need to do anything else - all will be revealed.
So, sorry Salt Lake City, but we didn’t really explore much of you. We did see your lake, pause by Rio Tinto Stadium (home of Real Salt Lake Major League Soccer) because my mom spent quite some time there where she promoted the company she previously worked for and engaged fans in fun activities before they all sauntered into the stadium, and we went to one of your fine movie theaters to see Peppermint. No offense, but the movie was certainly a highlight. Not only because it had a fierce female lead (hello Jennifer Garner!) but also because it was in the AC. And we had recliners. And popcorn. And there are some other really good movies that are coming out soon that we are super excited to see.
Maybe next time Salt Lake City, we will catch you between scorching hot and snow - and get a chance to do a little more exploring.
