Windows Wide Open
We are hopping our way down the Oregon coast and a few days ago we pulled into our second beach spot and wow. We knew it was going to be beautiful (thanks to a gorgeous website) but as we’ve begun to explore, it is truly phenomenal. Our assigned spot is parallel to the ocean, right off the row of RVs that have an ocean view. While it would certainly be fun to be right on the front row, we do have some lovely ocean views from our window without having to crane our necks or climb onto our roof to get a peek of the water.
Today, we took a skinny pathway to the edge of the cliff that the RV park sits on. While gripping onto a thick rope, we were able to shimmy our way down to the beach below. As soon as her leash was unhooked, Phoebe looked like she was shot out of a cannon and zoomed around the beach like she has never been on sand before (she has). Thanks to the low tide, we got to explore the dark barnacle covered rocks that are usually invisible because of high tide.
And the cherry on top? We have our windows wide open with cool, breezy, salty air pouring in. Our windows have been sealed tight for the past couple of months due to snow (or unbearably hot weather) so it was really peaceful to have fresh air swirling around the inside of the RV. We are tearing through books we picked up at a local bookstore and feeling grateful that we get to do this.
Pictures to come.
