Golden Gate Bridge

Golden Gate Bridge

We’ve been waiting for the best day to visit the Golden Gate Bridge. Not too windy. Not too foggy. Not too crowded.

We lucked out.

The day we went was all of those things above and more. It was sunny, beautiful, not overly crowded and one of our best days to date.

There is something so majestic about the Golden Gate Bridge and getting to see her up close was extraordinary. Our first view of her was actually when we entered into the city trailing our RV behind us. We were going through the Robin Williams Tunnel and as we approached the end we turned around a corner and out popped the Golden Gate Bridge. It’s such an iconic place that it felt surreal to see it in person.

On this most recent day, we found a lovely parking area that allowed us to see the bridge from far way and then a dirt trail took us up closer to where people could walk across if they wanted to. After our walk near the bridge, we got back in the truck and drove to a beach nearby. Luckily it was not only dog friendly but Phoebe could run around off leash.

Phoebe made some friends, did some serious running and we got to spend some time close to the water, which we love.
